Apropå de senaste två årens, och inte minst 2017 års, stora fokus på mage/tarm och tarmflora här på bloggen och i podcasten så visar också studier på det starka sambandet mellan tarm och hjärna. Vi pratade om denna koppling (gut brain axis) i avsnitt 135 av podcasten.
Som ett exempel på forskning så finns det bland annat en koppling mellan minskad oro och intag av fermenterad mat, som tex surkål.

Taken together with previous studies, the results suggest that fermented foods that contain probiotics may have a protective effect against social anxiety symptoms for those at higher genetic risk, as indexed by trait neuroticism.”
